March 2018 - National Director of Education

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

The National Director of Education (NDOE) is a brand ambassador for Pevonia International, LLC and its related brands. DOE is responsible for hands-on management, support, leading, mentoring and coaching of Corporate Educators and direct sales Account Executives. Participates in and supports sales, marketing and educational programs and objectives (e.g., new account campaigns, new product launches, promotions, educational classes, attendee certifications and incentives programs, trade shows, state board visits, Regional meetings, National Sales Meetings, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development

  1. Partners with the VP of Sales to create all training protocols for Account Executives and sales support including Account Executive training modules, New Partner training curriculums, medical curriculums, and creating and hosting partner webinars; approves all training materials used by Account Executives and Inside Sales personnel.
  2. Supports sales team by planning and coordinating Educators for in-field sales support with the goal of growing and/or gaining new business; provides Educators with detailed curriculums for in-house training sessions; assists in the field as needed as sales support for Account Executives.
  3. Actively builds relationships between Account Executives, Educators and Clients; coaches and mentors Account Executives and Educators on growing existing business; supports Account Executives in building relationships with prospects and new accounts in their region.
  4. Partners with the Sales Department to schedule national account training sessions and/or events with Educators; creates and develops curriculums and treatment protocols for National Account Partners as needed; assists with in-house training sessions and events as needed for sales support.
  5. Creates and maintains an annual education calendar and annual budget for the Education Department including remote education expenses, product shipments, audio/visual shipments, retail inventory shipments and travel expenses for Educators.
  6. Provides timely market feedback and standard reporting on education, current business conditions, trends and competitive information.

The Pevonia Academy and Education

  1. Develops and updates all outlined curriculum and PowerPoint presentations for The Pevonia Academy, oversees the creation of all policies and procedures and creates monthly recaps for the Education Department for attendance and retail sales. 
  2. Facilitates the creation and updating of all school training materials including training curriculums, PowerPoint presentations, student kits, lesson plans for school instructors, and all treatment protocols.
  3. Maintains positive student retention and ensures a quality educational experience for students and partners; ensures compliance with all state requirements such as Department of Education for CEU accreditation; maintains CEU’s for all states.
  4. Attends educational events and provides feedback on the effectiveness of educators and class content in building strong positive relationships with partners as well as growing sales and developing new business.

Marketing/Public Relations/Social Media

  1. Partners with the Marketing Department to create and develop educational protocols including: new product development, new product training and videos, training materials for Account Executives and partners, training manual updates, product skill sheets and webinars for partners and prospects; participates in bi-monthly Marketing Department calls and monthly merchandising calls.
  2. Assigns, participates and provides key content insight for Educator video shoots, e-marketing/social posts, live streams/chats, blog posts, media desk sides, influencer/prospect experience events, and media (consumer/trade) editorial opportunities. Schedules Educator participation in adherence of marketing deadlines.
  3. Participates in Marketing brainstorming sessions; collaborates with the PR & Social Media team to assist with Marketing campaigns and provide them with educational support. 
  4. Partners with the Events and Trade PR Manager to develop curriculum for educational classes and in-booth demonstrations; supports Account Executives during trade shows by being present at the booth; works with new and/or existing partners to gain and develop new business and with prospects to empower lead conversion.
  5. Provides Marketing post-travel updates and insights (seminars, webinars, trade shows/forums, in-field visits) regarding any shared client input related to desired education/marketing support for greater comprehension (tools, merchandising, assistance). When possible, takes photos of spa areas where DOE feels marketing could assist to encourage spa team empowerment, greater brand representation, increase retail/service bookings.


  1. Leads, develops, and motivates a team of Corporate Educators; coaches and mentors Sales Team as to best couple education with sales for increased profitability.
  2. Actively works to build relationships between the Sales and the Education Teams.

Minimum Education/Skills:

  1. Aesthetician license required
  2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred plus a minimum of five years of related business experience
  3. Minimum of ten years in the Beauty industry required
  4. Supervisory experience in an Education Dept. required
  5. Tradeshow experience required
  6. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  7. Teaching experience, public speaking, and advanced presentation skills required
  8. Results oriented, persuasive communication skills
  9. Adheres to ongoing customer focus and ability multi-task in a fast paced environment
  10. Ability to travel extensively; home office set-up required
